Bits & bytes for February 16th 2024
I completed The Invincible last week, and it was wonderful. Actually ideal for Steam Deck (something I keep saying). But it really reminded me of Journey, Firewatch and that ilk. It was relatively lonely. Isolating. But it had some warmth that kept me going. And obviously a great, compelling tale of why my character was isolated. I won't dive too much deeper for fear of spoiling anything, but it's a worthwhile play.
These kinds of games always bring up the "games as art" debate, which hopefully has been long enough in the tooth that we can officially say that yes, sometimes, games are art. Much like Marvel movies are hardly art, but movies-as-art exists.
